Service Charge Guide is a free, independent guide for residential leaseholders in England who want to question a service charge or seek repayment. It helps you identify your next task and prepare the documents you need.
It draws on first-hand experience of challenging service charges at the First-tier Tribunal (FTT) and pursuing repayment in the County Court. The worked example distinguishes the parties’ arguments from the courts’ findings. Private source documents are not published.
